Our Big Three Year Old!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Neal!

In November, we celebrated Neal’s 3rd birthday! He is such a blessing to us. He is a big helper around the house, a playmate for Bradley when Corban and Job are doing schoolwork, a fellow-adventurer with Corban and Job when they explore outside, a budding artist, a singer and a Duplos builder! He is also my clock at midday — he lets me know quite insistently that it’s time for lunch!! :)
We love you so much, Mr. Neal Man!!!

On Christmas Eve, Neal picked some dandelions in our yard! Yes, we had a warm December!

Christmas wore Bradley out!

Bradley fell asleep on Corban after lunch one day. Corban decided to be a ‘ham’ when I went to take a picture.

Three of the boys in their bedroom. This is the old color – it is now a cheerful light blue! Thanks Daddy for all your hard work painting on New Years!

Sword fighting is a favorite pastime at our house! Even though one fighter is ‘down’, he’s still fighting! :)

This picture’s for you, Kirstie! :-)

Happy 4th Birthday!

On August 30th, our son Job turned 4!!!!

We’ve enjoyed celebrating this little man and the gift that he is to us! We are so grateful to the Lord!

This post is very late due to the high level of activity at our house. :) It’s hard to find time to post!

Here’s a few photos of our Jobe – Man and the family party that we had for him! :)

Our Trip South ~ Part 2

We had such a wonderful visit with Jonathan & Chrissy (Josiah’s brother) in September! They have a small farm with goats, pigs, geese, chickens and rabbits. The boys also loved their dog ‘Hercules’! :) We’ve been asked by the boys many times since the trip: “When will we get some animals?”  We’ll see about that!! :)

We also enjoyed a boat ride with Jonathan & Chrissy to an island off the coast of North Carolina. Wild horses live there, and while we weren’t able to see any, we did see fresh tracks! It was so exciting!

It was such a fun trip, and I’m so grateful for the time we got to spend together as a family.

Our Trip South ~ Part 1

We had a delightful vacation earlier this month! One night we camped on Pilot Mountain in North Carolina. The next day we enjoyed a hike with a breathtaking view! We were first able to look at Pilot Mountain from the nearby overlook, then we enjoyed hiking around the summit (you can see it behind us in the 3rd row of pictures). It was so fun! The boys were a bit concerned that we would run into a bear, but no such excitement occurred. Maybe next time! :) We did enjoy seeing a blue tailed skink though. I had just been telling the boys about how I used to see them in WV, so they were thrilled to see a real one so close up!

On the way home, we enjoyed getting beef (and other animals like crocodile and kangaroo) jerky at an outlet in Charleston, WV. My man had just been wishing for some jerky, so that was a fun place to stop. :) I teased Josiah that he was becoming a mountain man – camping in the mountains and then getting beef jerky in WV, after all!!!

The bottom photos are of the boys the morning after we got home. They really enjoyed our trip, but were very glad to be back!

Part 2 of our trip coming soon…

August – At Our New House

August flew by this year! We moved into our new home on August 1st, and have been thanking the Lord for this lovely house ever since. We are very grateful!!! I know it is mid September already, but I thought I would put up a few photos to chronicle August. :) Mostly photos of the boys at our new house…

When there’s good mud in a yard, whats a boy to do?! Hehe! Bradley loved playing in the mud one day, and I just had to snap a picture! He needed a thorough bath after this morning of fun! :) Bradley is also quite the helper with laundry, as you can see. He’s always proud of the work he has done!

We had a wonderful trip to NC in early September – I’m working on posting about that now…

Happy 1st Birthday Bradley!

Daddy & I love you so much! We are so grateful to God for your happy giggle, your wide grins, your cheerful waves, your cute chubs, your love of playing with your brothers, your exploration of everything outside and your delight in bathtime! :)

May our Lord draw you to Himself and use your life to advance the kingdom of God! We pray for you every day sweet boy, that you would come to know the Savior as soon as possible. Obeying Christ is all that truly matters in life! We pray that you will obey Him all of your days.

We are so thankful that you’re our little boy. God has been so good to us!!

Happy Birthday, Brad!

A few recent Corban quotes, just for fun:

Corban playing hunting outside: “Mom, I got Christmas dinner – two pigs! One is ham & one is bacon!!” :)

Corban sitting on a pile of cushions on a chair: “Woo-hoo-hoo! I’m taller than I usually am!”

Corban asking Daddy about volcanoes: “When will it interrupt?” (meaning erupt)

Corban: “Mommy, there’s a tiger on that truck! Does that mean there are probably tigers inside?”

Daddy read about Jesus calming the storm. Corban responds: “But how did the waves hear His voice because they don’t have any ears?!!”
